CCNE Accreditation Status
The Master of Science in Nursing program at Nevada State University is seeking accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

Nevada State University is authorized to offer online nursing programs in most U.S. states through State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA) and is also authorized to offer the online MSN program to students in California.
Students must hold an active, unencumbered RN license in the state where they reside and/or complete practice experiences.
Admission Requirements
Traditional MSN Pathway applicants must meet the following criteria:

- Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution
- Official transcripts sent to the Office of Admissions
- Active, unencumbered RN license
- Preferred: At least one year of nursing experience
- Resume or CV
- Career goals statement
ADN -to-MSN Pathway applicants must hold:

- An Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program
- A bachelor’s degree in a non-nursing field
- Active, unencumbered RN license
Additional coursework required (RN to BSN level):

- NURS 330 – Biostatistics for Nursing
- NURS 451 – Scholarly Inquiry in Nursing
- NURS 462 – Community Health Nursing
- NURS 461 – Nursing Leadership
All other MSN admission requirements apply.
